Auditorio de Tenerife is an avant-garde building in Santa Cruz designed by Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava. The building offers guided tours. TEA is also located in Santa Cruz, in the renovated historic centre between Nuestra Señora de África Market and La Concepción Church.
Parque Marítimo is a recreational area designed by César Manrique on the site of Santa Cruz’s former commercial port. La Casa del Carnaval is a museum space where visitors can learn about the history and distinctive features of the Santa Cruz carnival. The Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife ends on Ash Wednesday with the Entierro de la Sardina.
