The Church of Santa Maria de Sineu was rebuilt in the Gothic style after a fire destroyed the medieval church in 1505. Its distinctive features include a star-shaped dome and stained-glass windows. The bell tower also has its own story: built in 1549, it is separate from the church and connected to it by the covered passage known as the Pontet de Santa Bàrbara.

Santa Maria is also home to the Gothic representation of the Mare de Déu de Sineu. Created by Gabriel Mòger in 1509, the work is known as a Verge-sagrari.
