History

The Palma–Santanyí railway line ran through Es Pil·larí. The parish church of San Francisco de Asís was built there in 1956.

The Fira del Llonguet has been held in Es Pil·larí since 2015, except for the two-year interruption in 2020 and 2021. It promotes local confectionery and baked goods, crafts, and gastronomy.

The official Es Pil·larí health route is located at Carrer Roncal 11, Llevant, 07600 Es Pil·larí, Illes Balears.

The official Fars de Migjorn cycling route passes through Es Pil·larí on its return to Platja de Palma. The Ermites del Pla cycling route runs from Platja de Palma via Camí de les Meravelles to the centre of Es Pil·larí. Mallorca Cycling Route 6 begins in Llucmajor on the road to Sant Jordi and ends in the Es Pil·larí district.
