History

Local Traditions

The history of Aceites Los Romanes dates back to 1964. At that time, 80 farmers joined together as the Hermandad Sindical de Labradores y Ganaderos and founded what is now the Sociedad Cooperativa Andaluza Santa Teresa de Jesús. This development therefore combines a specific founding year, the association of the farmers and the name of the present-day cooperative.

At the II Día del Molinero in Los Romanes, a guided olive oil tasting was planned; advance registration was required for it. The event also included a visit to the Cooperativa Santa Teresa de Jesús, where visitors could learn about the olive oil production process. Stalls offering regional food and local handicrafts were also planned for the II Día del Molinero.
