The Haza del Río trail offers another perspective on the area’s history: from there, panoramic views extend to the historic remains of the former 10th-century Mozarabic town of Bobastro.

The Vía Ferrata El Chorro is 650 metres long and has 250 metres of positive elevation gain. It includes a Tibetan bridge, a Nepalese bridge and a zip line approximately 35 metres long. The via ferrata has a medium difficulty rating of K3. When climbing in El Chorro, climbers mainly encounter technical walls with little overhang; individual sections can reach inclines of up to 90°.

Castillo de Álora is a castle in the vicinity of El Chorro. In the wider regional area is the Conjunto Arqueológico Dólmenes de Antequera, a museum. The Dolmen de Viera is an ancient site there.
