The Centro Temático de las Termas Romanas is located next to the archaeological site of the Roman baths and the Chalcolithic necropolis in Alameda. The exhibition is divided into six thematic areas. It covers Roman society, how the individual bath rooms functioned and different ideas about bathing – from the classical Greek period to modern spas. Arab and Christian bathing traditions are also addressed.

History

The tomb of José María Hinojosa Cobacho, known as “El Tempranillo”, is located in the courtyard of Alameda’s parish church. Guided tours of this tomb are available. Access to the courtyard of the Patio Mausoleo de José María El Tempranillo and the route to it are via stairs.

Landscape

Stage 16 of the GR 249 from Cuevas Bajas to Alameda ends at the boundary between Mollina and Alameda. The Mirador de la Camorra viewpoint is located at the summit of the mountain range of the same name, at an altitude of approximately 700 metres. It can be reached by car or on foot via a paved road. From the Mirador de la Camorra, the view extends to four Andalusian provinces – Málaga, Seville, Córdoba and Granada – as well as to Laguna de la Ratosa and Laguna de Fuente de Piedra.
