Kvakovce is home to a Roman Catholic church dating from 1774. Another historical site is the Church of Trepec. It is the only surviving immovable monument of the flooded village of Trepec. The church is most easily reached from the Domaša–Dobrá recreational area via Trepecká cesta. A traditional indulgence celebration takes place every year in July at the Church of Trepec.

The traditional Kvakovské Jánske slávnosti will take place on 27 June 2026 from 16:00 at the cultural centre in the municipality of Kvakovce. The traditional public cultural event Slovenské NAVALIS took place on 4 July 2026 in Domaša Dobrá Bay in the municipality of Kvakovce.

In the locality of Dobrá, within the cadastral territory of the municipality of Kvakovce, an extensive urn cemetery dating from the Early to Late Bronze Age was uncovered as the water level of Domaša Reservoir fell.
