Rudno – Hiking Amid Forests and Mountain Views

Rudno combines an elevation of around 1,100 metres with dense forests, pastures and meadows. The Radova Voda site and the village of Dzode also offer a panorama of Rudno village. The surrounding area has clear mountain rivers and streams with crayfish and trout. There is also a campsite near the Brevina River.

Nikoljača Church as a Special Trail Destination

One trail leads from the centre of Rudno through a spruce forest to Nikoljača Church. Dedicated to Saint Nicholas, the church known locally as Nikoljača stands deep in a centuries-old fir forest, in a clearing. From there, there are views of Palež and the gorge of the Studenica River. This allows you to combine a hike with a distinctive local building and a special forest landscape. If you are travelling with different interests, you can include nature trails, mountain views and this religious landmark in your daily plans without limiting yourself to just one type of experience.

Rudno can be reached from Kraljevo by travelling south along the Ibar Highway. From Kraljevo, it is approximately 76 kilometres to Brvenik, followed by another 24 kilometres to Rudno after turning off.
