The Ethnographic Museum, Lake Brusko, the Rasina River, an Olympic outdoor swimming pool and Bruska Banja offer different options for planning your day. Cultural Center, Museum and Local History

The Ethnographic Museum is located in the Brus Cultural Center. Its permanent exhibition is spread across four interconnected rooms. Since the museum was founded, more than two thousand museum exhibits and other museum materials have been collected. Anyone interested in everyday life, traditions and the history of the region will find a direct connection here to the cultural side of Brus.

The Cultural Center also serves as a venue for cultural programs, artistic performances, exhibitions, concerts, lectures, workshops and other events. A large hall is designated for cinema screenings and theater performances. Which of these offerings take place during your stay depends on the respective program; as a cultural focal point, however, the Cultural Center is firmly part of the townscape.

The town's political history can also be linked to a notable event: in 1909, Serbian regent A. Karađorđević, Bulgarian King Ferdinand and Montenegrin Serdar J. Vukotić met in Brus to agree on a Balkan alliance against the Turks. In the town park, in front of the Cultural Center, there is a memorial fountain dedicated to the fallen fighters of the Kopaonik region and those who fell in the National Liberation War. The fountain was built in 1952. It consists of a three-meter-high square pillar made of local stone and has a water tap. The local culture of remembrance also includes the memorial room in the premises of the tourism organization of the municipality of Brus.

Walks, Lake and Swimming

Lake Brusko forms a natural area in an urban setting at the heart of Brus. A promenade around the lake allows for walks and running activities by the water and along the Rasina River. In addition, a footpath lined with green spaces and trees follows the course of the river along the Rasina. Depending on your preferred pace for the day, you can therefore include time by the lake or a walk along the river in your plans.

Swimming enthusiasts will find an Olympic outdoor swimming pool in Brus. The Olympic-size pool was built in 1954 and specifically designed and constructed for holding swimming competitions. Bruski Korzo, the central pedestrian zone in the heart of the town, complements the waterside and cultural attractions with an urban area for spending time. The Korzo is often the setting for various events, activities and local celebrations.

Thermal Spring and Suitable Travel Focus

Bruska Banja lies 423 meters above sea level on the left bank of the Graševac and in the immediate vicinity of the central urban area. It is one of four more significant thermomineral springs in the municipality of Brus.
