Gubakha: Krestovaya Mountain and holiday apartment

Gubakha in Perm Krai combines Mount Krestovaya with a winter sports area and a mining history showcased at the KUB Museum. For a holiday apartment, the actual location in relation to the mountain, museum or tour starting point is a useful comparison point.

Mountain and winter sports

• The year-round resort “Губаха” is located on Mount Krestovaya in Gubakha and has seven groomed pistes and eleven freeride slopes.
• Mount Krestovaya, a landmark of Gubakha, lies at the northern end of the Rudyansky-Spoy Ridge and is 471.3 metres high.
• The excursion “Губахинская кругосветка” includes a 2.5-kilometre walking route to the rocks of the Rudyansky-Spoy Ridge; it starts at the year-round resort “Губаха” in Gubakha.
• From the summit of Krestovaya, you can see the remains of buildings in the abandoned town of Verkhnyaya Gubakha, the limestone cliffs of Ladeyny and Sukhoi Log, and, to the east, the peaks of the Bassegi Ridge.

Museum and town

• The KUB Museum in Gubakha offers five exhibitions that can be visited individually or as part of a general guided tour: two on miners’ work and daily life, two on nature and palaeontology, and one on the years of the Great Patriotic War.
• The KUB Museum in Gubakha is dedicated to the town’s mining past and palaeontological subjects.
• An unusual book-shaped fountain opened in Gubakha’s town square in 2016.
• The art installation “Птица счастья” (“Bird of Happiness”) was created in the centre of Gubakha in 2012.

Choose accommodation to suit

The guided “Губахинская кругосветка” starts at the resort and includes a 2.5-kilometre walking route. Pistes and freeride slopes are listed, but snow conditions, opening status, safety and suitability must be checked on the day of travel. A holiday apartment does not automatically include resort services.
