Korobitsyno combines ski resorts with other active experiences on the water and in nature. At Zolotaya Dolina, the offerings range from ski slopes and a snow park to a high ropes course, wake park and beach on Lake Novoye. There is also the Snegny ski resort in Korobitsyno and the Fairy-Tale Trail near the Troll Farm. If you are looking for a holiday apartment, first consider which experiences you want to shape your stay: skiing, activities on the water or exploring the surrounding area.

Slopes and activities at Zolotaya Dolina

The Zolotaya Dolina ski resort has twelve modern slopes of varying difficulty. They range in length from 50 to 1,100 metres, with elevation differences of 10 to 130 metres. Slope 5 is gentler, has no abrupt changes in elevation and is suitable for beginners. The fourth slope has a different character: as a sports slope, it has the greatest elevation difference and includes challenging terrain and an acceleration ramp. Sports training sessions and competitions at international level take place there.

Between slopes 2 and 3 is a 90-metre-long practice slope with a free lift. Visitors can practise skiing or snowboarding there on their own or make use of experienced ski instructors; the current availability of the lift and lessons may vary. Slope 3 also has a snow park with more than ten features, including boxes, rails, tubes and jumps of varying difficulty. It also includes a big-air jump with a table measuring 8 to 12 metres. The practice slope and the different snow park features therefore offer a different focus from the sports slope on the fourth hill.

Zolotaya Dolina also offers activities for active days away from the ski slopes. The high ropes course has four routes of varying length and difficulty, as well as a 12-metre-high starting tower and a 15-metre-high finishing tower. A 210-metre-long zipline runs between the towers above a spring-fed lake. The wake park is at the foot of the ski slopes, on the shore of an artificial body of water. Its two reversible cableways are each 9 metres high and 130 metres long.

Water, trails and nature

A certified sandy beach lies on the shore of Lake Novoye. The beach has boats, catamarans, beach volleyball, sun loungers and a trampoline. Zolotaya Dolina’s mountain bike park has prepared downhill trails and a lift. It is open on weekends and public holidays from May to November; check the specific dates for your year of travel.

The Snegny ski resort in Korobitsyno offers another winter sports option. It has seven slopes, 14 runs of varying difficulty and five lifts. The Fairy-Tale Trail near the Troll Farm begins with a route just over half a kilometre long, accompanied by an audio guide to the stories of the troll Svart. Check in advance whether the audio guide is available. At Emerald Lake near the Troll Farm, visitors can fish for trout, perch and pike; ask the operator about current availability.

The nearby Lake Krasnoe Nature Monument lies between Korobitsyno and Krasnoozernoye. It includes the lake and a 50-metre-wide strip of shoreline. Reeds and common reed grow along the shores and in the shallow bays; the area is also home to willow, black alder, aspen, birch and pine forests. There are also marshes on the northern and western shores. The Krasnoe Ozero ski resort, near Korobitsyno, is set on scenic slopes by the Lake Krasnoe Nature Monument and is 90 kilometres from Saint Petersburg.
