Praskoveyevka on the Black Sea coast near Gelendzhik offers two very different excursion ideas: the striking rock Skala Parus by the shore and a riding trail through forest, meadows, and foothill landscapes. If you are looking for an apartment or holiday home, first decide whether a short coastal excursion or an organized riding tour is your priority. The actual accommodation address and current access points matter more than the place name alone.

Skala Parus: a rock like a sail

Skala Parus rises from the water as a rectangular slab of stone standing perpendicular to the sea coast, resembling a sail. The rock is approximately 25 meters high, 20 meters long, and only about one meter thick. There is a roughly circular opening about one meter in diameter in its lower section. Its origin is unknown. These features make the formation a specific destination for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts, without requiring a visit to involve climbing or swimming.

A walking route of about 500 meters along the shore from Praskoveyevka to the rock is described. This is a different starting point from the also-documented walking route of approximately 4.5 kilometers from Dzhankhot. Do not confuse the two routes when choosing a holiday home or planning your return. A distance given for the shoreline says nothing about current ground conditions, water levels, or whether it is safe to walk at all times. Check local conditions and use only permitted paths. The rock itself is a natural formation, not a secured observation tower.

Forest, meadows, and river valley

A riding trail operated by the “Прасковеевка” equestrian tourism center passes through forest and meadows, crosses the Dzhankhot, and runs through the village's foothill landscape. This confirms a specific tour landscape, but not the constant availability of horses, a level of difficulty suitable for everyone, or a service included with every holiday rental. If you want to ride, ask the provider about dates, requirements, route, and how the river crossing is handled. If you prefer to walk, do not simply assume that the riding route is a designated hiking trail.

Getting there and choosing suitable holiday accommodation

Praskoveyevka can be reached from Gelendzhik by bus route 108 or by taxi. The documented connection does not specify departure times or journey duration. Check the current timetable and how close the bus stop is to your booked accommodation, especially if you want to set out early for the coastal route or return later. Accommodation in the village may be differently situated for the short walk to the rock than a property outside it; compare the exact address on a current map.

When choosing apartments and holiday homes, consider the number of guests, the actual amenities, and the conditions of each individual listing. The riding trail and Skala Parus are good reasons to take a closer look at the area, but they do not confirm that rentals are available or that there is private access to the coast. Realistic planning distinguishes verified listings from facts about the area and takes into account that coastal and terrain routes may change.
