Liman offers several clear points of interest for a stay: the Kazan Church as a historic landmark, the decorative Dobriyan Garden and the Art Park with its music and educational activities. The themes range from local history and botanical diversity to creative activities. The church, garden and park each have their own focus.

The Kazan Church: history and landmark

The Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God was the first church in the district centre of Liman. Its upper main church was consecrated on 4 November 2017; the first Divine Liturgy was celebrated there that day. The bell tower is also a distinctive landmark: it is the highest point in Liman. The date of consecration gives the more recent history a specific date, while the designation as the first church records the church’s historical role in the district centre. The two details answer different questions: the date of consecration marks an event in 2017, while its role as the first church places it in Liman’s history.

Dobriyan: garden and creative activities

The decorative Dobriyan Garden combines botanical diversity with creative activities. It includes 86 species of trees and shrubs, with more than 400 specimens in total. The two figures show different aspects: the number of species describes the diversity, while the total number indicates the quantity of plant specimens. The collection may change over time. The garden offers the quiz “Paths of the Botanical Garden”. Workshops focus on creating images from natural materials found in the garden; there are also guided tours entitled “Secrets of Dobriyan”. The activities offer different experiences: a quiz, creative work and a guided tour. If you are planning a specific visit, it is worth checking dates and visiting conditions.

Dobriyan Art Park: music and activities for children

In 2025, Dobriyan Art Park had publicly accessible music areas with a summer stage and a fire pit with a fire bowl. During the project period, the intellectual and creative club “Songs, Campfires and Guitar” met weekly at the fireside. The club brought together music lovers of all ages. Environmental and educational activities for children take place in the interactive learning and play pavilion “Karavaika’s Hut”. The music areas and children’s pavilion have different focuses: communal music on the one hand, and environmental and educational topics for children on the other.
