Tilischen: Museum, Shepherds’ Festival and Fortress Ruins

Landscape

Tilișca lies at the foot of the Cindrel Mountains. The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times. Cetate Hill is located west of the municipality. The ruins of a medieval fortress lie on this hill. The complex includes stone walls and a defensive ditch. The Dacian fortress of Tilișca is located on Cățănaș Hill.

County road DJ 106E passes through Tilișca and connects Săliște, Galeș, Tilișca, Rod, Poiana Sibiului, Jina and Susag.
