Culture and History
South of the village of Finiş lies the Cetatea medievală de la Finiş, also known as Cetatea Belovar and cetatea lui Bella, an archaeological site. It dates from the 13th to the 14th century. On three sides, the fortress is surrounded by a defensive moat 15 meters wide and 8 meters deep. Its strategic location served to defend the access route to Oradea.
The Schitul Huta was built in 1927 and restored in 1973. Finiș is also associated with violin making and the tradition of the Vioara cu goarnă, the so-called horn violin; this tradition is also attributed to Budureasa and Lazuri de Roșia.

Getting There
The main road access to Finiș is via county road DJ 764 along the Beiuș–Finiș–Stâncești route. Oradea International Airport is located approximately 75 km northwest of Finiș and can be reached via DN76 and E79. No railway passes through Finiș; the nearest railway station is in Beiuș and offers only limited connections.
Schitul Huta can be reached from BeiuÈ™ via county road DJ764F in the direction of FiniÈ™ (4 km), followed by another 12 kilometers on a forest road.
