Mariana Mereu set up an ethnographic exhibition in her courtyard and organised the „Școala bunicilor“. At this school, interested people could learn spinning, weaving and sewing, as well as the cultivation and processing of hemp and the production of finished goods. Hemp appears both as a fabric for embroidery and as a plant for cultivation and processing. The museum managed by the Mereu family in Geoagiu de Sus displays exhibits.
