Atalaia: Sanctuary, Tiles and Wine Tradition

Atalaia combines sacred art, a long pilgrimage tradition and insights into agriculture. The town is situated on a hill overlooking the Tagus estuary. The annex houses the Museu dos Ex-Votos with an extensive collection of popular votive offerings, which worshippers presented to fulfil vows made to their patron saint.
