Monforte: Castle Walls, Trails and Wide Landscapes

The Rota das Antas da Rabuje is a linear out-and-back route through the Monforte area. The Percurso Entre Ribeiras focuses on something different: it features dense, species-rich riverside forests and the presence of the Eurasian otter (Lutra lutra) and the common genet (Genetta genetta). Depending on your interests, you can therefore distinguish between historic trails, open wooded landscapes, olive groves and species-rich riverside areas when planning your trip.
