The rotunda in the village centre was built in the early 1980s to a design by J. Kirszak. Right beside it stands a bell tower with a bell dating from 1595, which came from the former half-timbered church. The historic park by the palace also reflects a distinct period of construction. It was laid out in the English style in the first half of the 19th century and covers 2.3 hectares. The palace itself was built in the second half of the same century. This chronology distinguishes the park from the later construction phase of the building and adds another point of reference to Broczyno’s architectural history.
Lakeside palace and manor house
The historic palace lies on Lake Broczyno, about 100 metres from the Czaplinek–Wałcz road. It was built in the second half of the 19th century in several architectural styles. On the lakeside is an octagonal, two-storey brick tower with a cupola. Several specific features define the building: its lakeside location, its range of architectural styles and the striking tower on the lake-facing side.
The manor house at the edge of the village is another building with a character of its own. Built in the modernist style between 1925 and 1928, it now houses a primary school. The palace and manor house can be distinguished by their construction dates and styles: the palace dates from the second half of the 19th century and was built in several architectural styles, while the manor house was built later in the modernist style.
Cycling route and Lake Broczyno
The black “Lobeliowe Jeziora” cycle route passes through Broczyno. A municipal plan from September 2022 describes the 33.3-kilometre circular route, which starts and ends in Czaplinek. Broczyno lies on the route at kilometre 24.5. This gives you a specific point of reference for planning your trip: the village is one section of a circular route that begins and ends in Czaplinek. If cycling is a priority during your stay, you can take this route into account when considering where to stay.
A different time frame matters when it comes to the lakeshore. In a municipal plan from September 2022, an area on Lake Broczyno was described as suitable for development as a bathing area.
