Tarnawa: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The historical roots of Tarnawa date back to the Middle Ages. Tarnawa was founded as a knightly settlement; a village developed around it.

Culture

The parish church of St. Martin in Tarnawa was built in 1856 and has been listed since 15 January 1957 under number A.141 in the register of immovable monuments of the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The complex of St. Martin's Church includes a chapel from the late 19th or early 20th century, as well as a vicarage built in 1894.

The parish cemetery of Tarnawa dates from 1820 and is included in the voivodeship heritage register. A church cemetery is located at the Roman Catholic church at Tarnawa 112. In addition, Tarnawa has a single grave of a Polish Army soldier who fell in the Second World War.

History

In the 15th century, Tarnawa had a wooden church, which was mentioned in 1411.

Festivals

The 20th Municipal Harvest Festival was held in Tarnawa on 24 August 2025. Harvest festivals are held every year in the Sędziszów municipality. At the harvest festival in Tarnawa, the local Tarnawa Rural Housewives' Association prepared regional dishes.
