The Historical Museum in Sanok displays a collection of 700 icons as well as other works of religious art. Visitors interested in religious imagery will find a distinct cultural highlight here. The tavern at the Sanok Open-Air Museum also combines food with a historic setting: it is housed in a granary dating from 1732, in the 18th century. Trails for Different Itineraries
The Icon Trail is about 70 kilometres long and connects 14 churches in the area around Sanok. The Sanok–Chryszczata hiking trail is 40 kilometres long, with an estimated duration of around ten hours. These details allow you to compare the route lengths directly and, for the second trail, to get an idea of the approximate time required. You can then decide whether to include a church trail with several stops or a route with a stated longer walking time in your itinerary.
The 72-kilometre Sanok–Przemyśl trail offers another landscape highlight, passing through the Słonne Mountains and the Przemyśl Foothills. Separately, a route described in Sanok County has both cycling and driving options: it leads from Sanok through Mrzygłód, Dobra, Łodzina, Ulucz, Tyrawa Solna, Siemuszowa, Hołuczków, Tyrawa Wołoska, Słony Wierch, Załuż and Międzybrodzie, before returning to Sanok.

The wider Sanok County offers additional cultural destinations in their own right. The historic architectural marketplace in Mrzygłód is considered one of the region’s most interesting sights. Tyrawa Solna is home to a wooden Greek Catholic parish church built in 1837 and dedicated to John the Baptist. Built using log construction, it has a post-supported tower. Tyrawa Solna was also historically known for producing salt from brine and for its komięgi, vessels used to transport salt along the San River.
In Dobra, a 17th-century church is part of a church complex; its tower now serves as a gate and bell tower.
