Ajska: landscape and habitats
The Dolina Lipinki area lies in the northwest of Świętochłowice, in the Lipiny district, and is colloquially known as Ajska. Several ponds and interesting floodplain areas along a stream shape the landscape. Silesian history and mining
The Muzeum Powstań Śląskich in Świętochłowice opened in 2014. Spanning more than 1,000 m², its exhibition, interior design and sound transport visitors to the time of the insurgents and present the history of the Silesian Uprisings. Another historical landmark is the complex of two headframes serving shafts I and II of the former “Polska” coal mine. It is entered in the heritage register under number A/110/04.
