Culture
Grzybowo is one of the farming villages that developed around settlements established between the late 16th and mid-18th centuries. The school building in Grzybowo dates from 1903; the former school building is now a residential building and a library. The Kapliczka Hetmańskich, dating from the 1930s, is also part of the local cultural heritage.
Community celebrations are also documented in Grzybowo. The fourth Orszak Trzech Króli procession passed through the village on 6 January 2025. The 2025 Orszak Trzech Króli included communal singing of Christmas carols accompanied by accordion music. The Kościerzyna Commune Harvest Festival was held in Grzybowo for the first time on 1 September and began with a public outdoor thanksgiving Mass. It included a traditional bread-sharing ritual with bread made from this year's harvest.
Nature
Grzybowo lies in the buffer zone of Wdzydzki Park Krajobrazowy. The Trzebiocha flows through the area of Grzybowo and forms an important connection between the lakes.
Trails and Water
The red Kaszubski Trail passes through Grzybowo and is approximately 135 kilometres long in total. The section of the Kaszubski Trail in Kościerzyna Commune runs through the valley of the Rekownica, Trzebiocha and Wda rivers. On the official canoeing route map, Grzybowo is marked in the area shown for the Wda and Trzebiocha waterways.
