Cycling

Two cycling routes run through Mikołajewo. The EuroVelo R-11 cycling route through Wigry National Park passes through the village between Rosochaty Róg and Maćkowa Ruda. The green-marked “Wokół Wigier” cycling route also runs through Mikołajewo.

In many places, the “Wokół Wigier” cycling route follows good gravel tracks or local asphalt roads. Some sections lead along narrow, uneven paths with steep climbs and descents.

The 18.4 km hiking route “Wędrówka 8” runs through the Mikołajewo protection district, which belongs to the Maćkowa Ruda forestry district in Wigry National Park.

The Czarna Hańcza route runs across Lake Wigry and onwards to Studziany Las. The section within Wigry National Park and the Ostoja Wigierska Natura 2000 site is approximately 35 km long in total.
