Grabin: Church, cultural heritage and forest
Accommodation in Grabin
Grabin offers various points of interest for a trip, from the parish church of St. Nicholas, with works of art spanning several centuries, to historical sites and a forest area. Cycling is another possible focus: on the “Around Niemodlin” cycling route between Krasna Góra and Grabin, there is a rest area at the site of the former health resort. When choosing where to go, you can consider whether you are particularly interested in religious art, historic places or outdoor activities.

Church and art spanning several centuries
The parish church of St. Nicholas was built in 1692 and extended in 1728. One of the church’s bells was cast as early as 1602 by Piotr Herel of Nysa. The church’s artworks include a Gothic sculpture of Mary from the early 15th century, a Baroque sculpture of Christ from the 18th century and a sculpture of St. John of Nepomuk from 1729.
The parish church is listed as a monument under registration number 1069/66.
Historic sites and a distinctive tree
Several historical periods are represented beyond the church as well. The historic park in Grabin dates from the 18th century and is listed as a monument. In 2025, the park was considered neglected. The manor granary dates from the 19th century and is also listed as a monument. A registered motte-and-bailey site is dated to the 13th–14th centuries. The motte-and-bailey site is from an earlier period than the park and manor granary.
Among the listed natural features is a European beech (Fagus sylvatica) with a trunk circumference of 520 cm and a height of 27 m. This specific natural feature adds another possible focus when exploring Grabin, alongside its historic buildings and sites.
Cycling, forest and outdoor activities
On the Krasna Góra–Grabin section of the “Around Niemodlin” cycling route, there is a rest area at the site of the former health resort. The route’s rest areas are equipped with tables, benches and waste bins.
Grabin is also one of two forest areas included in the “Zanocuj w lesie” programme run by the Tułowice Forest District. In the Grabin forest area, camping, including overnight stays without special infrastructure, is permitted under the programme. This is a different way to spend your stay from taking a trip focused on the cycling route. So if you are looking for a holiday apartment, you can choose Grabin based on the interests you want to shape your trip around: art and historic sites, cycling or camping in the forest.
A multi-purpose sports field and an Open Activity Zone are located on ulica Nyska. This means that, alongside historic places and the forest, there are also named places for physical activity within Grabin. Other places to consider when planning your trip: Krasiejów, Turawa, Szczedrzyk, Proskau, Chronstau, Polish Neudorf, Tarnau and Murów.
