The permanent exhibition at the Muzeum Ziemi Kozielskiej includes prehistoric tools from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages, medieval objects, silver 17th-century coins from the “Skarb z Koźla”, and cultural artefacts. Objects and information about Twierdza Koźle are also part of the exhibition. The museum is located in the basement rooms of the former south wing of the Silesian Piast Castle beneath the castle courtyard, as well as in the observation tower. The exhibition’s varied themes offer a way to explore the past, from early tools to the history of the fortress.
City routes and a museum by appointment
Four CityWalk routes are marked out in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. The CityWalk signs are complemented by audio guides, which can be borrowed from the city library at Rynek 3. It starts at the “Śląskiej Bitwy o Paliwo Blechhammer – 1944” museum in the Osiedlowy Dom Kultury LECH, in the Blachownia district at ul. Wyzwolenia 7.
