History
After Puchaczów was founded in 1527 on the site of the settlement, people began calling the village Stara Wieś. Historical records list the names “Laczna” from 1252 and “Laczna monachorum” from 1428 for Stara Wieś.
In the past, Stara Wieś belonged to the Benedictines of Sieciechów.
Culture
A harvest procession made its way from Stara Wieś to the square in Puchaczów. At a harvest celebration, works by the local poet Eugenia Rozwałka from Stara Wieś, Puchaczów Municipality, were heard.
