Bochnia is a city in the Polish voivodeship of Lesser Poland, approximately 40 km east of Krakow and on the Raba River.

Culture

Bochnia Salt Mine is described as Poland’s oldest salt mine and the country’s oldest continuously operating industrial enterprise; it was in operation from 1248 until the end of the 20th century.

In 2013, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
