Kamień: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Culture and History
The St. Margaret church complex in Kamień is considered one of the most valuable architectural monuments in the municipality of Złotów. Kamień is home to the former Protestant Church of St. Margaret, a half-timbered church dating from 1803. It is an example of 19th-century sacred half-timbered architecture and features a Neo-Baroque high altar as well as picturesque gallery decoration with a folk character.
The first church in Kamień was built by the Grudziński family after 1619. Two bells dating from 1632 and 1636 hang in the bell tower of St. Margaret’s Church. On the northern side of the former churchyard there is a row of cast-iron grave crosses from the second half of the 19th century.
Kamień is one of the oldest settlements in the Złotów region and was mentioned as early as 1225.
