History and Culture in the Powiat
The Gród w Grzybowie is one of the largest fortified settlements built during the formation of the early Piast state. Families travelling with children can visit GAMA – Grzybowska Akademia Małego Archeologa, an educational project where children learn about the work of archaeologists, as well as archaeological finds and their history, through play. This makes Grzybowo a particularly interesting destination for families interested in archaeology.

Several cycling routes are described for cycling trips. The planned main cycling route around the Wrzesiński Powiat is 176.2 kilometres long and circles the entire Powiat. Within the Powiat, the Nadwarciański cycling route passes through Orzechowo, Czeszewo, Szczodrzejewo, Spławie, Tarnowa, Pyzdry, Białobrzeg and Wrąbczynek. A section of the Transwielkopolska cycling route runs between Miłosław, Chlebowo and Pogorzelica. The different routes can help you choose destinations for your cycling days.
There are also numerous hiking trails in the southern part of the Powiat. Two sections of the Żerkowsko-Czeszewska “Ósemka” hiking trail also pass through the southern areas. The Warta, Poland’s third-largest river, flows through the southern part of the Wrzesiński Powiat. Canoe trips take place there, and a canoe route runs from Dłusk to the mouth of the Lutynia. This part of the Warta is particularly well suited to canoe tourism. Alongside the land-based trails, it offers a distinct option for travellers who enjoy spending time on the water.
