On 1 September 2018, a monument to the Greater Poland insurgents was unveiled in front of the building of the Kurkowe Bractwo Strzeleckie. Another place of remembrance is the local school: a commemorative plaque to Józef Gibowski is set into the rebuilt, newer part of the building. Gibowski was headmaster and a political activist until 1925; in 1939, he was shot by the Germans. The two memorials draw attention to different subjects—on the one hand, the Greater Poland insurgents, and on the other, Gibowski’s life story.
Agricultural exhibition and local facilities
