The Protestant cemetery in Marcinkowo is listed as a historic monument. It dates from the early 20th century, is no longer in use and is overgrown; some areas are difficult to access, and the gravestones are damaged. The cemetery is designated as part of the multicultural cultural landscape of the Sompolno municipality.
Culture and History
The wooden parish church of Saint Andrew the Apostle in Mąkolno dates from 1749 to 1750. The wooden Chapel of Saint Jerome “Na Puszczy” in Sompolno was built in 1732. During the “Na Puszczy” indulgence celebrations, the chapel is occasionally opened to visitors on the last Sunday in September.
The parish church of Saint Jadwiga in Lubstów was built as a brick church in 1534. The wooden Church of Saint Matthew the Apostle in Lubstówek was built in 1639.

Water and Landscape
Lake Lubstowskie covers an area of 85 hectares and is 7 metres deep. The recreational area at Lake Lubstowskie features a wooden pier, a covered shelter and a sand volleyball court.
Outside the lignite mining areas, most of the Sompolno municipality is designated as a protected landscape area. Marcinkowo is mentioned in connection with the Goplańsko-Kujawski Protected Landscape Area.
