Lakes, Models and Routes by the Water
In Trzcianka, the Park Ryb Słodkowodnych is located by Lake Sarcze and along provincial road 178 between Poznań and Kołobrzeg. Ten giant fish models can be seen along the walking and cycling paths. Information boards provide details about fish reproduction, fishing equipment and the nutritional value of fish. The outdoor exhibition is complemented by three models of forest animals and six mushroom models. This brings together outdoor activity and themes related to fish and forests.
Lake Długie, also known as Logo, covers 61.3 hectares and is up to 4.7 metres deep. A walking path runs around the lake, and fishing is also possible. In season, the Logo bathing area, with its large sandy beach, is another option. If you are planning an outing by the water, you can choose between a walk around the lake, fishing or a visit to the beach. The bathing area is seasonal, so it is worth checking whether it will be open when you plan to visit.
There are currently six free outdoor quest games in Powiat czarnkowsko-trzcianecki for children and adults to enjoy. The individual routes may change. This offers a different focus from a walk by the lake, with outdoor exploration games at its centre.
Cycling and Regional History
The Transwielkopolska Trasa Rowerowa Poznań–Okonek runs through Powiat czarnkowsko-trzcianecki along a 59.5-kilometre section that is mostly paved, making it well suited to trekking bikes. The surface and signage may change, so check the current route conditions before setting out. Those interested in regional history can also explore traces of Olęder colonisation along the “Od mariny do mariny śladami olędrów” route. It can be travelled by bicycle or car.
A remnant of this building tradition can be found in Gębiczyn: it is the best-preserved remnant of 18th-century Olęder architecture in the Puszcza Notecka area. Dębe is also home to a post mill dating from the mid-19th century, considered a valuable example of rural technical architecture. The two sites offer different historical points of reference within the cultural landscape.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Lubasz is another notable building. This late-Baroque Marian sanctuary has a single-nave layout, two diagonally arranged towers on the façade and a unified Rococo interior. If you want to focus more on architecture and history, you can combine this visit with sites that reflect rural building and technological history.
The “Spacer po zdrowie” recreational event, organised by Nordic Walking Lubasz, also takes place in May. The route is five kilometres long and runs around Lake Duże. Dates and arrangements may vary; check the details if you would like to include the event in your plans.
Hiking in the Wider Destination of Greater Poland
The wider destination of Greater Poland offers two educational trails for further hiking. The Osowa Góra–Jeziory educational trail is 5.5 kilometres long one way, with a walking time of three hours. It introduces key plant communities and the natural features of areas under strict protection, and ends at a viewpoint overlooking Castle Island in Lake Góreckie. The Nadwarciański educational trail is 5.5 kilometres long, with a walking time of three and a half hours. It follows the Warta and showcases habitats ranging from poplar-willow floodplain forest to pine forests. The stated walking times provide a guide if you want to choose between the two hikes based on how much time you have. These regional examples are in Greater Poland and are not features of Czarnikau.
