Dolmøya is connected to Hitra by a bridge across the narrow Dolmsundet. The Frøya Tunnel on Route 714 leads from Dolmøya to Frøya. To reach Dolm, take County Road 371 and follow the signs to Dolm Church. From the starting point, pedestrians and cyclists can get to Dolm via Dolmøyveien. These connections make it easy to plan your route, whether Dolm itself is your destination or Hitra and Frøya are part of a longer journey.

The Vættastraumen dive site beneath the old Dolmøy Bridge is 15 meters deep and suitable for beginners. The freediving areas are therefore a shallower alternative, accessible by boat, to the deeper Vættastraumen, which is suitable for beginners.

Dolmsundet Marina also offers a boat safari to observe sea eagles and other wildlife around Dolmsundet and Dolmøya. You can also plan your trip around wildlife watching from a boat.
