It includes a creek with slightly brackish water and an island for breeding birds.

Memorial sites, museum and church

The Crash Monument in Sluiskil commemorates the French lieutenant Erwin Emile Boudry, who died as a result of wartime hostilities on 17 September 1944. It is located at the intersection of Minister Lelyplein and Baljuwlaan. The monument comprises a black natural-stone memorial with text and a photograph, a stainless-steel aircraft silhouette and a stainless-steel information panel. The Sluiskil Museum permanently houses Gerben Dijkstra’s special firefighting collection; visitors can also take part in an optional guided tour. The Sint-Antonius-van-Paduakerk is a municipal monument built in 1901 in the Neo-Romanesque style. The bust of Lodewijk van den Berg is a memorial in his birthplace, Sluiskil, and was unveiled on 31 May 2013 by Lodewijk van den Berg and his wife Jacqueline.
