By car, the memorial site can only be reached from the Vierhouten side.
Vierhouten is also home to the De Paasheuvel complex, a monument to Dutch social democracy and a site of national cultural-historical significance. The amphitheatre was built in 1937 to a design by landscape architect G. Bleeker. The war memorial at De Paasheuvel includes a bronze memorial column and a bronze bell. The column bears the names of more than 400 AJC members who died during the war.
The Vierhouter Bosch archaeological site comprises eight burial mounds dating from the Neolithic and/or Bronze Age. Together with the memorial sites and the historic De Paasheuvel complex, this site provides access to very different chapters of the past.
