The northwestern parts of Bjelasica and the northeastern part of Sinjajevina belong to the municipality of Mojkovac. The northeastern part of Sinjajevina is also home to the spring and summer mountain huts of local shepherds. Bjelasica is home to more than 2,000 plant species, and some trees are over 400 years old. These details give an impression of the mountain’s diversity, without implying that every part of Bjelasica belongs to the municipality.
A notable forest is Crna Poda, a primeval forest of black pines in the Tara Canyon between Bistrica and Dobrilovina. The trees grow up to 45 metres tall and are 400 years old on average. Lake Zabojsko lies at an altitude of 1,477 metres above Dobrilovina, on the northeastern slopes of Sinjajevina; it is Montenegro’s third-deepest lake.
