Muo: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone looking to rent a holiday apartment in Muo can continue their accommodation search afterwards. Here, panoramic views meet stone houses, fishing boats and small cafés along the waterfront.

Culture

The parish church in the centre of the settlement was dedicated to Mary, Help of Christians, in 1864. It houses the body of Blessed Gracija in a silver sarcophagus and is therefore a sanctuary associated with a maritime religious figure born in Muo.

Geographical Setting

The nearby surroundings of Muo include Bioštice, Bloštice, Volujak, Ploče, Sveti Ivan, Sveta Agata and Sveti Šimun. Sveti Ðorđe lies in the surrounding area of Muo.

By the Water

Muo’s waterfront promenade allows for walks by the water and informal swimming. The shoreline includes concrete bathing platforms and ladders leading into the water; the coast is rocky.

Muo is connected to kayaking excursions from the Kotor area, which cross the bay to the settlement and continue along the western shore.

Getting Around

From Kotor Old Town, Muo can be reached via an approximately 30-minute walk along the waterfront, by bicycle or by car. Seasonal water taxis provide boat access across the strait.

Muo is small enough to explore the settlement on foot from one end to the other in about 15 minutes. This makes the waterfront promenade and village character practical for a short stop or as an addition to a visit to Kotor.

The coastal road and waterfront path continue from Muo towards Prčanj and Stoliv, creating a longer walking or cycling tour of the bay beyond the settlement.
