The Râpa-Culicăuca Gorge on the Butuceni rocky promontory features steps or waterfalls 2–6 meters high; at its mouth, the steps exceed 10 meters.

Those who prefer a shorter hike can plan the Drumul Dragonului: It is 4.6 km long, takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes, and has an easy to moderate difficulty level.

The marked hiking trails in the Orheiul Vechi Cultural-Natural Reserve combine nature experiences with historic sites and cave monasteries.
