Taikūnai: holiday apartments and holiday homes

History and remembrance

The Taikūnai burial site is located on the western shore of Lake Vilkaitis in the village of Taikūnai. Iron axes, rings and knives were found at this burial site in 1937 during road construction.

Next to the Taikūnai Pine, a dark wooden post was set into the ground in memory of the partisans of the Dainava district. Taikūnai, in the Veisiejų eldership in Lazdijai District, is also home to the site of the battles and deaths of Lithuanian partisans.
