The Trakai–Onuškis section of the Camino de Santiago runs through Žalioji. It is marked with the Camino de Santiago sign used in Europe, the Camino de Santiago symbol.

Culture
The brick Church of the Saviour of Butrimonys is located in the Butrimonių eldership. Its construction was interrupted by the First World War and was not completed until 1926.
The church preserves paintings and folk art from the first half of the 19th century, as well as early works by the renowned artist Antanas Kmieliauskas, who originated from the area around Butrimonys.
History
In the wider surroundings of Žalioji, in the Butrimonių eldership, there is a fountain in the form of an acrylic bottle on the market square of Butrimonys. A large vortex of water rotates inside it. After dark, the fountain lights up in different colours.
The triangular market square of Butrimonys is considered the only one of its kind in Lithuania. It has also been included in the Lithuanian list of urban planning and urban development monuments.
In the wider surroundings, the Ethnographic Museum of the Butrimonys Gymnasium has around 900 exhibits, hundreds of photographs and an extensive numismatic collection from the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum also includes the “Lino kelio” exhibition.
Also in the wider surroundings of Žalioji, in the Butrimonių eldership, Gerulių Hill is dated from the middle of the first millennium to the beginning of the second millennium. It has steep slopes 8–11 metres high and a 170-metre-long rampart.
