Beach and coastal landscape

The equipped beach of Eraclea Mare offers the opportunity to swim and relax by the sea. Together with the pine forest, it forms a coastal area where you can spend your time among sand, sea and green landscapes. Moving from the sand into the pine forest changes the surroundings without losing the connection to the sea.

Nature at Laguna del Mort

During the bird migration season, little egrets, cormorants, terns and little grebes stop at Laguna del Mort. In the southern part of the Eraclea area, in Eraclea Mare, there is also the SIC site “Laguna del Mort e Pineta di Eraclea”, with code IT3250013. The lagoon and the pine forest therefore provide nature enthusiasts with specific places to observe and explore.

Walking routes for different interests

The circular route at Laguna del Mort is flat, approximately 6.5 kilometres long and suitable for participants aged six and over. Its approximate length can be taken into account when planning the day, including your own breaks. The same route is also offered as an Eco-Wellness walk with targeted exercises and explanations of natural, historical and cultural aspects.

In the pine forest, Eraclea Mare has a fitness trail with exercise equipment. The trail provides another specific place for physical activity in the coastal town’s landscape.

Discover Eraclea Mare by bicycle

The coastal cycle path offers views of the Adriatic and direct access to the beaches. An official stage reaches Eraclea Mare after following the Piave to its mouth at Cortellazzo. In addition, the “Seaside Routes” by Veneto by bicycle pass through Eraclea Mare in stage 3.4, titled “Cavallino Treporti–Jesolo–Eraclea–Caorle”. By bicycle, the routes therefore lead both to the Adriatic and to the mouth of the Piave.

The coast of Eraclea Mare and its hinterland also offer different ways of getting around when planning a day: routes on foot, by bicycle, on horseback and by boat are available as specific options.

Sea, regional flavours and getting there

Mariclea Club is a marina on the coast of Eraclea Mare with direct access to the sea. Traditional dishes of the municipality of Eraclea also include lagoon prawns; locally, they are called “schie”. For the journey, the railway stations of Mestre and San Donà di Piave are connected to Eraclea by an ATVO bus service, making it possible to plan a train journey via either station.
