Artworks and Rural Architecture

The permanent artworks in Ca' Corniani include La Soglia Est, La Soglia Nord and La Soglia Ovest. La Soglia Est is an LED inscription on the façade of the historic pumping station. It lights up whenever lightning strikes anywhere in Italy. The illumination is therefore linked to a specific natural event, not to a fixed time. La Soglia Nord features a gold-leaf roof over an old farmhouse. At the old farmhouse, the focus is on the roof surface and its gold leaf. La Soglia Ovest consists of stone sculptures depicting the estate's dogs and horses.

Winery, Farmyards and Estate History

The Ca' Corniani winery was built in the second half of the 19th century as an example of rural architecture. Today, it serves as an information point and as the starting point for visiting Ca' Corniani. In the historic winery, the estate's long history is presented through multimedia installations and a photo exhibition curated by the Alinari Archives. The restored Macchina Fissa also houses a multimedia museum accessible via the “Ca' Corniani Terra d'Avanguardia” app. In the winery and the restored Macchina Fissa, historical themes are combined with multimedia content.

The two rural farmyards of Ca' Corniani are also considered examples of Venetian rural architecture and are well worth seeing. Venetian rural architecture is therefore represented not only by the winery but also by the two farmyards.

Cycling Loop and Excursions on the Water

The Ca' Corniani cycling loop is 23 kilometres long, is classified as easy and is estimated to take two hours. It follows unpaved paths and gravel roads. The same bicycle station provides kayaks for excursions on the Livenza River. The area of Ca' Corniani is bordered by the courses of three rivers.
