Royal Golf La Bagnaia has an 18-hole golf course extending across 130 hectares of hilly landscape. The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Royal Golf La Bagnaia also offers bookable individual and group lessons with PGAI professionals. Every season, Royal Golf La Bagnaia hosts competitions and tournament series for golfers of all skill levels. The combination of hilly landscape and 18 holes gives the golf area a clearly defined spatial setting. Lessons and seasonal competitions complement play with organised formats.

Churches, Castles and Palaces

The Church of Saints Vincenzo and Anastasio in Bagnaia has been documented since the 12th century and retains a Romanesque appearance. In the surroundings of Bagnaia, Castiglion Che Dio Sol Sa and Castello di Montarrenti are castles. Palazzalbero is a palace there, as is Palazzo Celsi Pollini. Royal Golf La Bagnaia was once a medieval village.

Mountains and Nature in the Surrounding Area

Poggio Cerrete and Poggio la Biffa are mountains in the surroundings of Bagnaia. Poggio del Casino is a mountain in the wider regional area around Bagnaia. Cappella di Piazza is a natural arch in the surroundings of Bagnaia. In the Basso Merse Nature Reserve, the summits of Poggio Boschettino and Poggio del Crocino feature serpentinite outcrops, endemic plants adapted to these habitats and monumental specimens of prickly juniper. The reserve also offers views of the Val d’Orcia and the Ombrone Valley. Poggio del Casino lies in the wider regional area around Bagnaia, while Poggio Cerrete and Poggio la Biffa are in the surrounding area. Here, serpentinite outcrops and adapted plants combine with monumental junipers and views across two valleys.

Circular Trail and Cycling Tour

Murlo has a circular trail of just under five kilometres that passes through Poggio Aguzzo and Poggio Civitate and starts and ends in Murlo. A cycling tour passes through Bagnaia and includes a second unpaved section there. The circular trail’s length of just under five kilometres, its start and finish in Murlo, and the cycling tour’s second unpaved section through Bagnaia provide concrete reference points for the day’s programme. The tours therefore have different focuses: the circular trail is defined by its length and fixed location, while the cycling tour is characterised by the unpaved section in Bagnaia.
