The Museo del Cristallo is located on the site of the former Boschi glassworks. Trails along the Via Francigena and the Elsa

Colle di Val d'Elsa lies on Via Francigena Stage 32 between San Gimignano and Monteriggioni. One route in the municipality runs through the city centre, while another leads through the countryside. The Anello della Francigena Colligiana is a 22-kilometre circular route starting and ending in Colle di Val d'Elsa.

For a shorter nature excursion, the approximately 4-kilometre-long SentierElsa follows the hydraulic structures at Steccaia and Callone Reale. In the Diborrato section, the waters of the Elsa form a waterfall approximately 15 metres high and a small lake about 10 metres deep. The river is considered suitable for swimming and is a popular destination for many bathers in summer. Historic buildings and special places

The Dometaia Archaeological Park, a district of the municipality of Colle di Val d'Elsa, comprises 56 tombs dating from the middle of the 6th century BC to the early years of the 2nd century BC. The Convento di San Francesco is connected to the Borgo by the nine-arched Ponte di San Francesco; the bridge was completed in 1338. The restored former military structure, the Bastione di Sapia, was reinforced with a tower and offers wide views of the Convento di San Francesco and the Duomo. The Palazzo Campana is considered an example of 16th-century Tuscan Mannerist architecture.

The Church of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria has been documented since the end of the 13th century. It contains a polychrome terracotta group depicting the Lamentation of Christ by Zaccaria Zacchi, created between 1504 and 1506. The Cappella del Sacro Chiodo in the Duomo di Colle preserves, in a tabernacle, one of the nails used for the crucifixion of Christ. At the Sagra della Miseria in Santa Caterina, samples of traditional peasant cuisine are offered.
