San Gennaro lies at an altitude of 250 metres in a panoramic hilly landscape. The Monte Crocefisso, mapped as a peak, and M. Moraglio, mapped as a mountain, are located in the surrounding area. In the wider regional surroundings of San Gennaro are Monte Serra, mapped as a mountain, and Monte Bersano, mapped as a peak. The Il Quercione route runs predominantly along paved roads; reaching Quercione requires 2.8 km of unpaved road. Pieve di San Gennaro and Its History

The Pieve di San Gennaro was rebuilt in the 12th century on an older structure. The Pieve houses a terracotta statue of an angel, approximately 1.20 metres high, in a place of special significance. Professor Carlo Petretti attributed the statue to Leonardo da Vinci.
