Trail and Access

The hiking trail through Molino del Piano begins at a car park, leads across the town’s main square and climbs up to the parish church of San Martino. The parish church has preserved its original octagonal layout. Hikers will find bars and grocery shops in the town as useful stops. To visit the trail, the section from the car park via the main square to the parish church can be planned as a continuous route through the town. Molino del Piano can be reached via the provincial road of the same name from Sieci in the Arno valley bottom, with bus services, or from Croci dell’Olmo via the Faentina state road. Sieci lies in the Arno valley bottom and is connected by bus services; Croci dell’Olmo is connected via the Faentina state road. The provincial road of the same name is named after Molino del Piano. The journey can therefore be made either via Sieci and the provincial road or via Croci dell’Olmo and the Faentina.

Castello di Torre a Decima and Filarmonica Puccini

Castello di Torre a Decima lies at the foot of Monte di Croce, near Molino del Piano. It is a private residence and can only be viewed from the outside.
