Holiday apartment in Ronzone: hiking trails, roses and culture

Ronzone offers a diverse blend of nature experiences, distinctive garden landscapes and culture. Three walking routes shape the scenery: the Passeggiata Arsen runs mainly along forest roads and well-marked paths, circles Monte Arsen and passes close to the lake of the same name. The Passeggiata Sissipromenade leads through meadows and cultivated fields, which become flowering areas in spring and a continuous blanket of snow in winter.

The Passeggiata Pradastagn offers another distinctive landscape experience. It leads through a forest of Norway spruce, silver fir, larch and heather.

Ronzone also offers numerous mountain-biking routes for all levels of difficulty. These routes combine the nature, history and culture of Alta Val di Non.

Roses, mountains and an accessible Aqualido

The Giardino della Rosa in Ronzone is an alpine rose garden with more than 400 varieties of roses. The garden is complemented by an educational trail covering different rose species and varieties. This also makes the site interesting for visitors who want not only to look at plants, but also to learn more about their differences and diversity. Aqualido Ronzone is accessible to people with disabilities and to wheelchair users via an internal lift.

The landscape around Ronzone includes several mountains and peaks with different classifications. Monte Toval, which is classified as a peak, is located nearby. The area around Ronzone also includes Monte Penegal, classified as a mountain, as well as Monte Ori and Monte Nuovo, classified as peaks.

Culture among churches, schools and castles

The Chiesa di Sant'Antonio da Padova houses a painting from 1648 depicting Saint Anthony, the Christ Child and angels. The work is by the Tyrolean painter Johannes Pernstich. The exhibitions of the Musei di Ronzone are housed in the former primary school and include old teaching materials, everyday objects, work tools and historic kitchens.

The area around Ronzone also offers historic and religious destinations. Castello Boymont, classified as a castle, is located there, as is Castello di Cles, also classified as a castle. The nearby Parrocchia Di Sarnonico is classified as a church. Castel Firmiano, classified as a museum, is also located in the area around Ronzone.

Ronzone can be reached by public transport from Trento via a local railway connection in the direction of Malè/Marilleva; the journey can then continue from Dermulo or Cles railway stations by local bus. When planning your journey, it is therefore important to consider both the selected railway station and the subsequent local bus leg.
