Festivals, music and regional specialities

The festival calendar has its own distinctive highlights. At midday on Easter Sunday, Ferla celebrates u Scontru, the meeting of the statues of the Mother and the risen Son. The feast of San Sebastiano takes place on 20 July. In August, Cardacia brings a summer version of the Sicilian Carnival to Ferla, with dances, allegorical floats and masked groups. From the end of August to the beginning of September, Lithos takes place on the steps in front of the Capuchin monastery. The national series of events is dedicated to popular, acoustic and contemporary music.
