Finale combines coastal landscapes, historic buildings and special nature experiences with a distinctive local food culture. Anyone choosing a holiday apartment in Finale can therefore shape their holiday between the sea, the history of the town and excursions into the surrounding area. The changing scenery between quiet discoveries in the town, swimming experiences and impressive landscapes is particularly appealing.

Coast, town centre and choosing your holiday apartment

The Torre di Finale is a coastal watchtower belonging to the Spanish fortification system, built in 1597. It stands above the coastal cliff known as the „scoglio grande“. As a result, the coast and history meet directly at this location. When choosing accommodation in Finale, this contrast can provide useful guidance: you can decide whether the maritime landscape, the culture of the town or the nature in the surrounding area should be the focus of your holiday.

The coastal character also includes the beaches of the Finale settlement. Solarium is one of the long beaches lining Finale. The Gole di Tiberio are also located in the area around Finale. Their main section forms a canyon almost 300 metres long. The Gole di Tiberio belong to the UNESCO Global Geoparks, the European Geopark Network and, since 2004, the Global Geopark Network. You can swim in the clear river pools of the Gole di Tiberio; at the same time, the Gole di Tiberio in the area around Finale are easy to reach.

Church, palace and craft history

In central Finale lies the Parrocchia Maria SS. della Lettera. Its simple architecture is regarded as typical of local traditions. The interiors house statues, paintings and sacred furnishings. This gives the town centre a cultural counterpoint to the beach and river pools. Palazzo Ventimiglia is considered the first settlement centre of Finale and was built in 1700 at the behest of the Marquis of Geraci. Its façade, grand staircase and wrought-iron railing preserve an 18th-century appearance.

The Cortile Carrettieri also tells of craft activities from past decades. In the 1950s, chairs made from agave—more precisely, from Agave americana L.—as well as soap were produced there. The Torre di Finale is also known as the Torre del Marchese Ventimiglia di Geraci and was used as a museum for temporary exhibitions.

Local cuisine and special events

The culinary side of Finale can be experienced at La Farra di Aprile. During this event, restaurants in Finale offered a menu of wild or cultivated local spring vegetables from 21 April to 4 May. The vegetables were prepared according to old, carefully maintained recipes. At the 2024 Festival della Pizza, 14 pizza stands each presented a different gourmet offering. These events add a distinctly regional flavour to the nature and cultural experiences.

On 21 August 2026, the Teatro Parco Urbano in Finale is scheduled to host Francesca Michielin as a stop on her „Strega Comanda Summer Tour 2026“. Thus, in addition to historic buildings, the beach and the canyon, planned cultural events can also form part of the possible experience of a trip. A holiday apartment in Finale can therefore provide a suitable base for varied days away if you would like to combine nature, local history, swimming and regional cuisine.
